Christmas Sessions in Columbia, SC
Every November I host my two most-loved seasonal session events of the year in the Midlands - my Christmas sessions. You might know them as Christmas minis, but they've grown into something more: a thoughtfully styled, fully curated experience designed around one quick, joy-filled twenty minutes. Families, kiddos, and couples - styled & guided with intention, with 30+ beautifully edited images delivered before Thanksgiving, right on time for Christmas cards, gifts, and the holidays.
Tree Farm Sessions
Location in Chapin, SC
Among the pines - playful, unscripted & room to run. Twenty minutes of your family twirling, piggy-backing, and belly-laughing between rows of Christmas trees, planned shot by shot so we gather the card-worthy classics without eating up your evening.

Cozy Studio Sessions
Downtown Columbia, SC
An original indoor Christmas set, designed and built by hand - a styled living room scene and a rich forest green backdrop, two completely different setups in one session. Mrs. Claus (my adorable mom) greets your littles with cookies to decorate, and a few surprises stay secret until you arrive.
Every Minute
Thoughtfully Designed
I know family photos are an investment, and I never forget that when you choose me. Every detail of these sessions is planned so that your time and your trust come back to you as memories you'll hold onto long after the season ends.
They're made for families who want beautiful holiday images in a quick twenty minutes, without the investment of a full session. I only bring them back a few times a year, and Christmas is my favorite of them all.
Those twenty minutes are full of intention. The styling, the pacing, even the order of the shots are planned before you ever arrive, and every single decor choice you see in the studio is hand-picked & personally purchased for this one day only. All you have to do is show up and enjoy each other while I capture the twirls, the snuggles, and the card-worthy classics. Twenty minutes is the design, not the limit.
The Proof Is in the Photos

Questions, Answered
When does booking close for Christmas sessions?
Bookings close October 19th - or when the calendar fills, whichever comes first. Tree farm dates have sold out every year since 2018, and there are only a handful of studio spots.
Where do the sessions take place?
Tree farm sessions are held at Bear Creek Christmas Tree Farm in Chapin, SC, about 20 minutes from downtown Columbia. Studio sessions are held at 701 Whaley in Columbia's historic Olympia mill district. Both days serve families from Lexington, Irmo, Chapin, and Blythewood - and every year families join us from Charleston, Greenville, and across South Carolina.
When will we get our photos?
Your full gallery of 30+ edited images is delivered by Thanksgiving - in time for Christmas cards, gifts, and the holidays.
Do you offer mini sessions any other time of year?
No - these Christmas sessions are the only time all year I offer a shorter, lower-investment session. The rest of the year I photograph full-length family, maternity, and milestone sessions across Columbia, Charleston, and Colorado.
How much do Christmas mini sessions cost in Columbia, SC?
Tree farm sessions are $350 and studio sessions are $425, each with a 50% deposit to reserve your spot. Both include a 20-minute private session and 30+ professionally edited images - roughly half my hourly session rate, and the only time all year I offer holiday mini sessions.
Will Santa be at the Christmas photo sessions?
Even better - Mrs. Claus herself (my adorable mom) greets your littles at the studio with Christmas cookies to decorate while everyone gets settled. A few more surprises stay secret until you arrive.
What should we wear?
Once you book, you'll receive my full styling guide - and I'm always happy to help you plan outfits personally. Warm neutrals, rich plaids, and cozy layers photograph beautifully at both locations.
